Ep 144: Trey Baughn, BGSHIELD

Trey Baughn is a relatively new board game enthusiast on a mission to protect hobby games from game night spills and accidents.  In early 2022 he’ll be launching BGSHIELD, which is a universal tabletop game upgrade that will “party proof” the primary components of cardboard board games. BGSHIELD creates an invisible, moisture repellent “shield” on your game surface that prevents accidents from severely damaging your favorite games. It protects your games from many kinds of spills including water, coffee, tea, wine, beer, juice, and soda. BGSHIELD also helps repel stains and stickiness from fingerprints and many types of food. It is a crystal clear repellent coating that can be applied safely at home to almost any board game.  The vision is that BGSHIELD will protect game boards and boxes as effectively as card sleeves protect cards.

Trey tentatively plans to launch in early 2022 his website, BGSHIELD.com.
