Ep 86: Our Family Plays Games

Published on: 15th April, 2021

Our Family Plays Games was created by Mik & Starla Fitch and their son Grant. They have been involved in the modern board hobby for more than 9 years. In an effort to bring more families and people of color into the hobby, in 2018 they launched Our Family Plays Games on Facebook and Instagram, so they would have a voice and presence in the hobby that would encourage other families and people of color to get involved in modern board games. After getting a positive response from their social media pages, they decided to take things further, so in January 2020 they launched Our Family Plays Games on YouTube and a few months later, added Twitter to the mix. For many, their perspective and lighthearted approach to sharing, reviewing, and discussing board games was a breath of fresh air, so much so that on June 26, 2020 they were featured on Good Morning America. This family of board game players is continuing their mission to bring more families and people of color into this hobby that they love.
